On paper it looked as if the Diamonds had snatched a point with a last minute equalizer but for all the Airdrie fans who had travelled to the Fair City we knew that it was the least we deserved .If we had taken half the chances that we created we would still have won at a canter. The fact that we left Perth with a point was all down to poor finishing and lady luck siding with the Saintees. We dominated the match with "man of the match" Marvellous Marvyn bossing the midfield ably assisted by the Mad metal One who was amazingly subbed after Saints had taken the lead through an unfortunate Owen goal from big Christie. This only seemed to make the Diamonds more determined as we were still creating goal scoring opportunities. Just as it looked as if we were going to be robbed of the points up stepped Oweny who showed all the maturity that his age would suggest to place the ball expertly past the keeper into the net. It would have been a travesty if we had lost this match, but i have always known that God is a Diamond and is on our side. He wears the number nine shirt.
