Squad building continues

Tim Dittmer
By Matt Lawton June 5 2008
Leigh RMI manager Steve Bleasdale has continued his squad building for the new season with the signing of former Runcorn Linnets striker Michael Morrison, whilst goalkeeper Tim Dittmer signed a new contract to remain at the club after an impressive debut season.

Dittmer (pictured) made twenty two appearances for the club last season after joining in October 2007 from Radcliffe Borough, going on to make the number one shirt his own which, as a consequence, has seen back up goalkeeper Richard Mottram released from the club to help him find regular first team football at a different club.

Dittmer now faces the challenge of competing with experienced stopper Steve Dickinson in becoming the club's number one goalkeeper this season.

Joining the club is former Burnley junior Michael Morrison, the striker playing for Runcorn Linnets for the final period of last season after previously appearing in the North West Counties League for both Nelson and Padiham.
