Stuart Humphreys' side went in to the game with a two point gap separating them from safety, and although the draw with Moor Green doesn't spell any progress, it does mean that RMI haven't at least lost any ground after Vauxhall Motors could only draw with Hinckley, while second bottom Scarborough were defeated 3-1 at home to Nuneaton Borough.
Despite taking the lead after twenty seven minutes through midfielder Steve Porter, RMI found themselves a goal behind at the break when first, eight minutes afer Porter's goal, Phil Trainer equalised for the visitors, before Moor Green went in front on the stroke of half-time through Junior English.
Leigh managed to secure their third draw in succession when Rapley levelled the scores with twenty five minutes remaining, leaving RMI with the added pressure of looking for a victory when they travel to Gainsborough Trinity on Monday afternoon.
