Baggies bid for Olsson accepted

West Bromwich Albion have just announced that a £800,000 bid for Swedish centre-back Jonas Olsson has been accepted by his current side NEC Nijmegan. The Swedish side reported that Olsson was on his way earlier today, and now West Brom have confirmed that their bid has been accepted and the player will be on his way subject to a medical.

Albion hope to have completed the deal for the 25 year old over the weekend.  He has already agreed personal terms with the Baggies, and a medical will be carried out when the player arrives at the club.

At 6'4'' tall, the centre-back will be a big addition to the back four.  The tough tackling defender is an international at both under 20 and under 21 level, and Albion have agreed to pay a further £360,000 in performance related add ons.
