Former gaffer
There is not a place for him however in the heart of Albion Chairman Jeremy Peace, with the feeling more than mutual after the pair had a major bust up in 2004.
Now, four years later, Megson still finds it difficult to even mention the name of Jeremy Peace. After leading Albion to two promotions, Gary Megson was given his marching orders from the club in 2004 when it looked likely that relegation was another inevitable. The season then became dubbed the 'Great Escape' after Albion survived the drop under Megson's replacement Bryan Robson.
Megson claims he has no issue with the club's decision to replace him, just the way in which it was carried out. Refusing to comment any further than his disgust over the way he and his family were treated at that time, Megson went on to say that he still holds a special place for the club and it's supporters, but will never forgive Jeremy Peace and a small number of his co-workers.
Megson referred to Albion fans as 'top draw', but said he will be more than understanding if he receives a frosty reception from them tomorrow afternoon.
Jeremy Peace had no comments to make about Megson or anything which happened between the pair at the club in the past.
