Peace puts Baggies up for sale
By Jemma Tappenden June 10 2008
The Chairman of West Bromwich Albion and Majority Shareholder Jeremy Peace has today announced that the club is up for sale. Although not owned outright, as the major shareholder Peace has revealed that they are willing to listen to any offers which would provide substantial financial backing now that the club has returned to top flight football.

As the club embarks on what will be it's 4th Premiership season in seven years, Jeremy Peace has admitted that whilst the clubs finances have been and will continue to be extremely well run in recent years, they do currently not have anywhere near the kind of investment they expect to need to gain a foothold in the Premiership.

Peace has said he will listen to any genuine offers of interest for the club, which he feels will be in its best interests if they are to remain and eventually progress in the Premier League.

Don't see this as a surprise, As we knew all along this was his aim. I think during his time in charge he has made mistakes, and infuriated us at times. But on the whole has steered a steady ship. Lets just hope if somebody does come in for us, we don't have the circus that other clubs seem to be having. ie Man City, Liverpool,And that fiasco at the Bloooooose.
