Sebastian Loeb won Stage 9 to further increase his lead over night. Giles Panizzi put in another brave effort as the tarmac ace hauled his ever improving Lancer up the mountains of Monaco.

At the end of Leg 2 Loeb holds a commanding 1m54.7s lead over Marcus Gronholm with new Ford signing Toni Gardemeister a further 13.7 seconds back from Gronholm.
Briton Kris Meeke dropped to 2nd in the overall standings in the JWRC in his new Citroen C2 S1600.
Stephane Sarrazin's works team Subaru carrer didn't get off to the best of starts as the Frenchmen slid off the road on Stage 7.
