McLaren has denied reports that Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide, makers of Jack Daniels whisky, had signed a deal that would lead to their logo replacing West cigarettes on the sides of their cars for the 2005 season.
McLaren boss Ron Dennis had this to say: "This is just spread gossip of the off season silly-season. At the first race in Melbourne we will be sponsored by West who we have had a partnership with for seven years."
