Drivers Comments: Interlagos

22-24 October – Brazilian Grand Prix, Interlagos

Da Matta: “Now Brazil is the final race of the year, by the time we go back to Interlagos in October it will have been 18 months since the last Brazilian GP. The Interlagos track is one of the shortest of the year and is one of only two that runs in an anti-clockwise direction. The track surface is extremely bumpy with low grip levels, combining fast and slow corners, which are linked by some long straights. Engine power is important for the uphill sections of the lap. It is always a special feeling to race in front of your home crowd and it gives you a bit of a boost, which will be highly appreciated at the end of the season.”
