8-10 October – Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka Circuit, Suzuka

Panis: “After Spa, the Suzuka Circuit is my second favourite track of the year. It is a brilliant circuit and really exciting to drive. It is not the best circuit for overtaking, although there are some opportunities. The Esses are where you find the lap time and this is the area we need to concentrate on. The Japanese Grand Prix is obviously very special to Toyota. We give maximum attack at every race of the year, but in Japan the effort is always that little bit extra, especially in front of all the Toyota executives, employees and fans, who support us so loyally during the year. We filled the second row of the grid
in 2003, definitely one of the year’s highlights, but this year we will be looking to
convert that into a similar race result and, although it is no longer the final race of the season, we will be expecting to leave Suzuka for Brazil on a high note.”
