9-11 July – British Grand Prix, Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone

Da Matta: “Not only is Silverstone my favourite track, but it will always hold a special memory for me after leading the British GP for 17 laps last year – the first time for Toyota and the first for me in F1. It is a very fast circuit, especially Copse and Becketts, which are fun to drive. The complex is quite important for lap time because it is quite slow. You need to find the best compromise between mechanical set-up and aerodynamic set-up to find the best exit onto the start-finish straight. Overall, Silverstone is a flowing circuit with a variety of types of corner, which makes the place very challenging – you get a real buzz when you set a good lap and I hope we will do well again this year in less bizarre circumstances.”
