Martyn Jones arrived at Cardiff following the demise of the Celtic Warriors in 2004, however was born and raised in the Capital, and he was always hopeful for a return to his native city.

At 25, he still has a lot to offer the Blues, and comparrisons can be made to Sale's Andrew Sheriden.

He has featured much of this season with injurys and Lions call-ups to Gethin Jenkins and John Yapp. 6ft and 18.5 stone, Martin offers a very different typr of prop to the his younger collegues, and is a favouite of Dai Young, however, he has yet to have his contract renewed, which ends this season. His chances have also taken a knock with the recent signing of former cardiff prop, Gary Powell.
