BAR-Talk.com can bring you photographs of the inside of the fuel cell that started all the problems for BAR Honda at the San Marino Grand Prix. The first picture here shows the inside of the fuel cell with all the pumps and ancillary equipment removed. The cavity that is the collector is clearly visible. The FIA's Jo Bauer had previously inspected this cell at the Malaysian Grand Prix, and again at the Bahrain Grand Prix.



The second picture shows the fuel cell as fitted to the car, complete with pumps, accumulators and pipework, although with the fuel baffles removed. Again, the collector is clearly visible.



Finally, we have got a diagram showing how the fuel system on the BAR Honda works. Keeping it simple, the main cell holds the fuel. One pumps moves the fuel from the main tank to the second 'secret' tank, where a second pump moves it to the accumulator. The accumulator holds fuel under pressure to feed to the pump that feeds the engine.
