For one race only: 555 BAR Honda

Salo in the 1999 BAR
By Phil Huff (25/08/2004) August 25 2004
Lucky Strike BAR Honda could be disappearing from the F1 grid, but only for one race. It's not game over though, rather the team rebranding for the Chinese Grand Prix.
Lucky Strike is a brand that is well known worldwide, but not to the Chinese market. In China the 555 brand is king, and that could lead to a change of livery for the team in order to exploit as much business as possible.

The prospect of an all-blue BAR, with yellow 555 flashes, will bring back memories of 1999, the teams first year in Formula One. The original plan was to run one car in 555 livery, and one in Lucky Strike livery, but the plan was outlawed by the FIA before their first race.

The team hit back with the now infamous 'zipper' livery - Lucky Strike on the left side, and 555 on the right side.
