Another Grand Prix weekend and another win for Michael Schumacher. The Ferrari steam roller seems unstoppable, but it's getting closer. With news that Honda are set to remain with BAR until 2007, the stability that the team desires so strongly is now there, with David Richards remaining at the helm. A strong driver line-up is always an advantage, and that's maturing nicely too.

Which brings us to Jenson's Sunday Drive - the best of his career, no less. From 13th on the grid to a podium finish is impressive in anyone's book, and our man now thinks he stands a chance of beating Rubens to second place.

Sadly I don't quite share the enthusiasm, as I think Ferrari tactics will interfere and Rubens may just get a few late season wins to help him out, but that's assuming he's ahead of BAR to start with.

And BAR's more than just Jenson. Takuma Sato has made an astonishing 15 successful overtaking manoeuvres this year, but his move on Trulli at Hockenheim left me speechless. Round the outside at 180mph, two wheels touching the grass. The guy has serious talent behind the wheel and, given a bit of reliability, should start impacting the score sheet a little more often.

Despite his moves and Honda's backing though, David Richards continues to refuse to confirm him for 2005. Agreed, some of his results have been lacking but, of those drivers available, who could do better? Anyone answering Jacques Villeneuve is instantly sent to the back of the class - he may be available, but he's never getting back to the BAR.

Neither is Fisichella, who's signed with Renault for 2005. That leaves a seat at Sauber free, and Anthony Davidson is in the frame. It's about time our trusty tester got a race drive, following his two outing for Minardi in 2002, but it would be a great loss to the team. Can we afford to let him go?
