The draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA cup has been made, with Rhyl and Carmarthen facing Scandinavian opposition. Rhyl's reward for beating Atlantas on away goals is a tie against Norwegian side FK Viking. The first leg will be played in Norway, with the second leg likely to be at Belle Vue. Carmarthen’s prize for beating Longford Town, after last night’s 5-1 demolition, is a tricky tie against FC Kobenhavn (Copenhagen). The Welsh side will be at home first before travelling to the Danish capital. The ties will be played on August 11 and 25. We wish both sides well. |
