The only light at the end of the tunnel for us is that France-where Hamilton will face his penalty, will be a thriller. A feisty driver, fighting his way up the field, from 11th or lower, will be a thrill to see from every-one's view.
This penalty is very harsh, and you could argue undeserved, Kimi did the same to Sutil in Monaco, now the stewards didn't penalise Kimi because he hit what is normally a back-maker?
Personally, if Kimi had hit Lewis, no penalty would have been given, and I'm almost certain of that.
Chief Executive of McLaren, Martin Whitmarsh, is rumoured to be thinking about appealing the penalty, to give Lewis the best chance of winning the next race, and the best chance of regaining the world drivers championship lead.
Lewis accepted the punishment without question, acknowledging "It's just unfortunate when stuff like this happens, but I have no argument with the Stewards," Hamilton said after the race.
Team Boss Ron Dennis appeared to partly disagree with the penalty. "The plain fact is that Lewis didn't realise that the cars in front of him were coming to a halt until too late. It's difficult for a driver to decide whether to focus on the lights or on the cars ahead in situations like that. Having said that, we accept the stewards' decision"
