By Sam Cooper May 16 2008
McLaren’s test and reserve driver Pedro de la Rosa took over from race driver Heikki Kovalainen today, as testing continued for the Canadian Grand Prix. Rain hit the final day, giving the teams an opportunity to test their cars aerodynamics in the wet, which could prove very useful.

One lap specialist Jarno Trulli finished the third and final day of testing on top, the Italian lapped the 1EV2 SC circuit in 01:31.360, three tenths faster than the next fastest runner, Renaults Nelson Piquet Jr, in third was Pedro de la Rosa in 3rd.

Sebastian Vettel completed a strong, final day for Toro Rosso; the young German spent the week testing the new STR03, which will make its opening debut in Monaco next weekend. Felipe Massa finished behind the German in 5th in his Ferrari, Nick Heidfeld in the BMW Sauber was a tenth behind in 6th.

In 7th was Sebastian Buemi got to have a drive in the Red Bull RB4, the current GP2 racer finished ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella in 8th. Jenson Button had a fairly standard day in the Honda RA108. Nico Hulkenberg finished last in the Williams, to round off the test.
