The Spaniard finished almost a whole second faster than Renault tester Nelson Piquet Jr. He was a full second faster than fellow rival Kimi Räikkönen who had his first try in the F2007. Fernando had a problem on track today, but did crash into Luca Badoer causing the Italian to spin out.

Fernando’s problem is not known yet, but Mclaren are looking into the problem and will be fixed by the start of the season. Fernando was not the only person to have problems out on track, every team out on track had their problems many of them spinning off, and Williams F1 had to stop three times.
