all those committee members who work so hard in the background to make each of the events a success, it would be unfair to pick on any particular individual , so thank you all very much for your endeavours.
Also from the club side I have always been treated with the greatest courtesy and people have gladly given of their time to assist in the setting up of events, and helping with prizes to help us raise funds, so my fulsome thanks to Kathy Leather and her great team in the events office. On the rugby side Tony Boddy was great at helping persuade John Brain to give us access to the players, and ensuring the players turned up. I trust his retirement goes well and that we meet up at one of the games. Life has been much easier under the new regime with Mike and Clive being very approachable and generous with their time and the new team manager Allan Carter, being as helpful as Tony was previously, so a great big thank you to you all, and a very special thank you to Carron , Andrew and Gary for ensuring we had a DVD every week. I know that sometimes on this web-site the club get criticised occasionally but I have always found them ready to listen if approached in the right manner, and a great group of people to work with.
I have also found in my travels and meetings with supporters of other premiership clubs, that we enjoy much greater access and support from the club than any other premiership club, so whilst not being perfect I think we should appreciate what we do get from them.
The other real pleasure is the meeting with the opposition fans, the great folk from the Falcons and the wonderful times we’ve had up there. The great night I had as guest at the Irish end of season party, my hilarious attempt at trying to speak French to about 50/60 well oiled French folk, god knows what I said but it raised a smile, being entertained by the sale fans the first time we beat them up at their ground, so many pleasant memories and most of all a great big thank you to the best supporters in the world for putting up with a grumpy fat old Welshman for 2 ˝ years, it’s been a real pleasure from my point of view so thank you all and goodbye
