Worcester Dragonboating event

We managed to finally win a final!!!

In a tough day, we overcame the disappoinment of the first few races to finally pick up a consistent rhythm. The penultimate race of the 450m plate competition saw us encounter Worcester Dragons and Henly Eyot. This race was very close with Worcester Dragons pipping us to the post by 0.23 secs, Henly Eyot were only 0.15 sec further adrift!!

We went into the Plate Minor Final as slight favourites over Henley Eyot and Fallen Angels (another local crew from Pershore). Given the lane 2 draw we knew that this could be our moment and 110% needed to be given to drag us over the finish line in 1st place.

Somehow we did it!! In what was just as close a race as the previous encounter, Severn Warriors were victorius by 0.28 secs over Henley Eyot, with Fallen Angels only a further 0.22 secs behind.
