Perhaps the biggest surprise of the five is 2001-2002 Supporter's Player of the Season goalkeeper Scott Howie. The Scottish shot-stopper will be remembered for many a match saving performance but unfortunately for him he was not reliable enough for Graydon and a new experienced goalkeeper will be in his shopping list over the summer.
Trevor Challis is no longer Rovers longest serving player as he had announced earlier this season that he would be looking for a new club come this summer. Player of the Season in his first year at the Memorial Stadium, Challis has always been a fans favorite because of his ability to always give 100%. A solid left back who likes to get stuck in, his determined and committed style will surely help him find a new club.
Former skipper Lewis Hogg has also been told that he will have to look for a new club over the summer. The young, gutsy midfielder has already been linked with a move to Brentford and will be hoping to link up with former Bristol Rovers manager Garry Thompson there. These two players were never likely to shirk a challenge and we wish these three especially all the best in their quest to continue their career in the football league.
Left winger Mark McKeever has never been the same since the long term injury that forced him to drop out of the Sheffield Wednesday squad and will be looking to revive his career elsewhere. Meanwhile former Q.P.R. and Grimsby striker Bradley Allen has not done enough to prolong his future at the Memorial Stadium after a short team deal and rounds up the list of 5 players that will be surely moving on.
