The defeat still leaves Rovers 2 points off the bottom of the football league. Very worrying.
The fantastic Gas following were treated to the first goal after 14 of play, when Paul Tait was fouled by Onandi Lowe in the area. Giuliano Grazioli tucked away the penalty to put The Gas in front. 1-0
The lead was short lived when Onandi Lowe struck a free kick through a thin wall passed Scott Howie. 1-1
The second half was really poor from a Rovers fans point of view. It just seemed as though we tried to hang on to what we had by keeping everyone back behind the ball. It was a case of when not if for the next goal to go Rushden's way.
The home side dominated the second half and got the winner when Paul Hall bundled a shot into the net from close range after Scott Howie dropped the first shot.
2-1. Better but not good enough.
