FA Cup 1st Round Headache For The Gas

0-0...says it all!
By Michael ~AshtonGas~ November 17 2002
Battling Runcorn earned a well-deserved replay after forcing a goaless draw at The Memorial Stadium to mount the pressure on Rovers boss Ray Graydon.
The Rovers fans made their players know how they felt after being held by Unibond league outfit, Runcorn, to a goaless draw at home.

The Gas was awfull, simple as that. Runcorn weren't much, we were nothing at all.

Credit has to go to Runcorn though, being as they battled so hard for the replay. They had many clear cut chances to have won easily but failed to do so due to bad finishing in front of goal.

What annoys me most is that the management told us that we were focusing mostly on fitness and making sure we come through the season. However we didn't look any fitter than the part-timers we played against.

I've said it before and I'm not about to change my mind now, I'm 100% behind Graydon and so should you be!
