David Lee Signs
While talking to the Official site, Lee stated that he has been very keen to play for Rovers since he heard we were interested in him.
“I got told by the gaffer during a reserve game this week that Bristol Rovers had showed an interest in me, and I was obviously very keen to come down here, I have been keen to get away from Brighton since Martin Hinshelwood, who used to be there, told me that I wasn’t in his plans. “My agent has been working hard to get me another club, and both Cambridge United and Hull City showed interest, with Cambridge having a bid knocked back because our squad was a bit depleted at the time. But once I heard that Rovers were interested I knew it would be a good opportunity to try and play some first team football.” “I know a bit about the club, I’ve chatted to Bobby Zamora about it who always speaks highly of the place. Bristol Rovers are a big club who knock the ball around, something that most teams in this division don’t do, and that will suit me, as I like to pass the ball too.
Obviously both Ray Graydon and John Still have been looking around for new players and have decided that David Lee will be the most suitable.
“John (Still) and I know all about David, and I’m delighted that we have been able to bring in a player on loan,” Graydon told bristolrovers.co.uk, "He’s a good midfield player who likes to get forward and who can play up front. He will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game."
Will he go straight into the first team on Saturday? On the Bristol Rovers official site, where you can read the entire report, Brighton manager Steve Coppell believes Rovers will play him regularly.
