Warren, who is most comfortable as a left wing back started his career with Cheltenham in the mid 90's before being bought by Southampton in his first professional season for £40,000. He made only a handful of appearances though, before enjoying brief loan spells at Brighton and Fulham. Warren then joined home town team Bournemouth from The Saints for £50,000 and got the required amount of first team football and even chipped in with over a dozen goals in almost 100 games in his 3 seasons with The Cherries.
After these impressive displays for his home town club he was signed by Queen's Park Rangers on a free transfer and spent the past 2 seasons at Loftus Road before being released in the summer.
The defender found a new club hard to come by and was offered the chance to train with the Bristol Rovers squad by former Southampton youth coach Ray Graydon, a chance which Warren didn't turn down.
After over a month of training in Bristol Warren has decided to take up the oppurtunity of playing non-league football closer to his Bournemouth home and we wish him all the best.
