Excellent
Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle made no secret of his fury after watching his side dominate for huge spells against Plymouth only to earn just a point after some poor finishing let his Wolves side down.
With Wolves without the injured Lee Naylor and with Rob Edwards needing a rest the Wolves boss opted for a formation change. Back came Gabor Gyepes in a back three with Joleon Lescott and Jody Craddock whilst Mark Kennedy and Maurice Ross - making his first start for the club - played as wingbacks. Tom Huddlestone returned in a midfield containing Darren Anderton and Colin Cameron whilst Kenny Miller and Leon Clarke played in attack. Vio Ganea and Ki Hyeon Seol both dropped to the bench.
The new formation seemed to work wonders for Wolves who's first half was full of neat play, excellent long range passing and a selection of guilt edged chances.
Argyle keeper Romain Larrieu made two decent saves within the first few minutes, first tipping Darren Andertons 20 yarder around the post and then saving a point blank range header from Joleon Lescott from the resulting corner.
Great work from the highly impressive Kenny Miller then provided Leon Clarke with the first of several chances, but the youngster was unable to turn the ball goalwards from close range.
An impressive 30 yard lob from Daren Anderton then came back off the underside of the bar before Leon Clarke wasted another two guilt edged chances.
In the 22nd minute the visitors took a shock lead. From an Argyle corner a mix up between Steffan Postma and Joleon Lescott resulted in the defender heading the ball up in the air and as the ball dropped Argyles on load defender Elliott Ward headed into the empty net.
Wolves got back into the game ten minutes later. Nice link up between Miller and Cameron resulted in the latter firing home, with the aid of a slight deflection past the hapless Argyle keeper.
Wolves forged forward looking for a second goal before the break but excellent chances for Miller and Leon Clarke were all blazed wide.
The opening 20 minutes of the second half were similar to the whole of the first and then Wolves contrived to miss the chance of the game. A strong effort from Mark Kennedy was pushed away into the path of Leon Clarke, but the youngster failed to make any connection with the ball and then Colin Cameron blazed over.
Plymouth could have stole all three points against all odds in the final minute when Lasley hit the post however in truth, Postma had it covered.
