It has been said - and largely dismissed - for years that Wolves players are in the centre of something called a "comfort zone".
Look ay Wolves. They are amongst the highest paid set of players in the division, they play in one of the best stadiums in the division and in the next few weeks will train in the best training facilities in the division.
Now look at Cardiff. They have one of the worst grounds in the division, the training ground is nothing like Wolves new luxurious £3M base and the players are paid nothing like the Players at Molineux.
Now look at the league table.
Under Dave Jones we only saw the odd glimpses of players giving their 100%, so why, at Cardiff can he get 100% out of his players week in, week out and do what he has done with Stockport and Southampton in the past?
Why are Wolves, under yet another manager struggling in the same league and failing to live up to anything like the pre-season expectation levels?
It must go further than the manager.
Why is Molineux such a graveyard for managers? Graham Taylor has come and gone, as has Mark McGhee, as has Colin Lee, off went Dave Jones and now Hoddle must surly be starting to feel the heat as his Wolves side sit outside the play offs, a county mile away from the joys of the automatic promotion places.
What is it about Wolves? The only thing which has separated the club against any other for the past ten years has been the ground, the money and the quality way in which the players are treated by the club.
Why is it going so wrong?
We are still fully behind Glenn Hoddle. We still fully believe he is the man to lead this club on to great things. The manager is doing his best and is ready, but how ready and willing are the players?
