It's 21 games unbeaten for Wolves - a new club record - and just one defeat in 29 games as Wolves moved third in the table after disposing of Hull City at Molineux.

We predicted before the game how this fixture would be a real test for Wolves. We all know Wolves have the ability to beat the top teams in the league but in the past these are the games Wolves have slipped up on.

However there were no slip-ups at Molineux today as Wolves ran out comfortable winners, despite only scoring the one goal.

In truth, the one goal defeat flattered Hull, but nothing can be taken away from a side who gave an extremely good account of themselves in the first fixture between the two clubs in over fourteen years.

Wolves should have had the game dead and buried before the break with Carl Cort, Rohan Ricketts and Kenny Miller (twice) all seeing decent efforts slip wide.

The Wolves goal came from Ki-Hyeon Seol - his second in two games - when he jinxed inside the box and hit a shot which hit the back of the net via a slight deflection.

The second half was much the same as the first, with Wolves providing the majority of possession and peppering the Hull City goal.

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle said of the game "I was delighted with the performance today. Last season if we played like that we would have drawn but today we could be sitting here with a 4-0 victory under our belt.

"It's nice to have seven points out of a possible nine. I didn't want the performance on Tuesday to become a pattern and it hasn't. Today we thoroughly deserved three points."

Wolves now have two away games on the bounce, first away at Leeds followed by a trip to Cardiff.
