TEPID Wolves were unable to make possession count at a cold and wet Molineux Stadium on Saturday. A decent first 30 minutes was spoilt by 60 minutes of dross. Coventry City made Wolves pay.

Coventry City condemned Wolves to their second home defeat of the season after Wolves failed to turn huge amounts of possession into goals at a cold Molineux Stadium on Saturday.

Caretaker boss Stuart Gray made just one change to the side which beat Rotherham last week. Jody Craddock it was who replaced Mikkel Bischoff, who returned to Manchester City with a dislocated shoulder.

Wolves attacked the Southbank in the first half, but were unable to test Steele in the Coventry goal, despite the huge possession. Cooper, Miller and Cort came close for the home side, whilst the busy Adebola posed problems for the Wolves defence.

The second half saw the impressive Naylor replaced by Mark Kennedy, who slotted into the left-back position. Sadly for Stuart Gray, the Wolves domination of the first half was non-existent and McSheffrey slotted home from close range for the only goal of the game.

Wolves huffed and puffed, but to no effect. Coventry looked the brighter and former Wolf Adrian Williams missed a guilt-edged chance from six yards.

The perormance started off so promisingly, but ended up how the season has so far panned out. ****! (Fill in the blank)
