WOLVES were on the up. Two wins against Derby and QPR had given Wolves yet another platform to build their season on. Sadly, once more, the over-paid boys in gold and black blew it!
This was a performance which can be described as nothing more than a complete and utter disgrace! A Wolves team, constructed with the use of multi-millions of pounds failed to beat a Gillingham side put together on a shoe-string....oh and the Gills had a man sent off after just 12 minutes!
Prior to today, Gillingham had lost 7 consecutive games. Their side was hit with serious injury problems and from when Cox took down Cooper when he was through on goal - just 12 minutes into the game - the Gills only had ten men.
Despite being put together on a shoe-string and despite not having the huge names, Gillingham had something Wolves currently lack - determination, bottle and fight.
Sod the match report. The reason Wolves lost was because they had no determination, they had no idea and they thought they could simply turn up and win.
There's no point in even pretending Wolves were hard-done-to, they weren't! Gillingham played well, Gillingham wanted it and Gillingham played their hearts out.
Gillingham deserved to win, Wolves were just a disgrace!
GILLINGHAM 1-0 WOLVES
