Wolverhampton Wanderers and Birmingham City are reportedly tussling over the signature of Rosario`s Luciano Figueroa.

It was reported yesterday that Figueroa, who was branded the new Gabriel Batistuta would soon become a Birmingham City striker, but fresh reports today suggest otherwise.

Yesterdays report suggested that a deal between Birmingham and the player was agreed, but as Wolves have seen at their own expense, as with the M`Bami deal, things can quickly change.

It is suggested that Birmingham City have agreed a loan deal for the Player, but today`s reports suggest Wolves have placed a straight £2.5 Million bid on Rosario`s table in a bid to hijack the Birmingham City deal.

The 22 year old was set for a move to Rangers earlier in the summer but the move was cancelled due to Rangers being unable to get the complete funds for the transfer available.
