Ince: Aim For Mid-Table

 Wolves Captain Paul Ince believes Wolves should be aiming for a Mid-Table Premiership place this season and believes we are as good as the likes of Middlesbrough and Charlton. 

 Paul Ince and Denis Irwin both pledged their futures to Wolves for one more season but Hero Paul Ince believes Wolves should forget what the bookies think and aim to prove everyone wrong by finishing mid-table in the Premiership.

 The bookies have the three Premiership newcomers; Wolves, Leicester and Portsmouth as the three teams tipped for relegation, but Ince believes the negativity surrounding Wolves in the press regarding the outcome of next season could help Wolves.

 Ince told Teamtalk "You've got to set your sights higher than just surviving. When ourselves and Leicester came up the bookies were saying we were the favourites to go down.

"Then you get other people saying 'do you know, you're favourites to be relegated?' and that sort of thing can get through to the lads.

"You can go into the season being pessimistic. But I think we should be looking to say that mid-table is our goal.

"We've got quality here, we've got experience, we've got youth - a great blend. I see no reason whey we can't finish in the middle.

"If Middlesbrough can finish 11th last year, I am sure that we can and that's not being disrespectful to Middlesbrough. I'd like to think we are just as good as them, even Charlton and teams like that.

"We've got to be optimistic. Let's prove a lot of people wrong. If we get a hammering along the way we are going to get written off but we've got to be able to deal with that.''

 Ince has been there and done it, he knows what it takes and with his leadership skills, as shown in last seasons Play-Off final, the impossible may just be possible.
