 Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly planning to swoop for Chelsea and Premiership star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

 In an exclusive by The People Newspaper it is claimed that Chelsea are so desperate to get Hasselbaink off the wage bill that they would be prepared to pay off half his wages for the remaining one year on his contract and let him go for next to nothing.

 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is currently on £50,000 per week, however Chelsea would pay off £25,000 per week allowing them to invest in cheaper young players whilst Wolves would pay the remaining £25,000 per week for the one year he would be contracted for.

 It is reported that Dave Jones has contacted Chelsea and the Player and he has received a lukewarm response from both the Player, Chelsea and his Agent.

 Wolves will however expect to fight off competition, with Barcelona  showing keen interest earlier in the season.
