Wolves owner Sir Jack Hayward is giving out 25% of his shares in the club to the fans saying "The club does not belong to one person - it always belongs to the fans.".

Many have been surprised that Sir Jack has given that percentage of shares out , originally it was reported that it was only 10% but Sir Jack is giving the chance for the clubs faithful to be part of Wolverhampton Wanderers and be more then just fans on the terraces.

Sir Jack promised in the event of promotion to the top flight he would give a percentage of shares to the supporters and true to his word he has.

What this means is as a shareholder , you are able to attend meetings and give out questions to the directors and also be able to vote on club issues plus many more options.

Reported on the Express and Star site Philippa Gee, investment analyst at Wolverhampton financial advisers Torquil Clark said  "The main interest in shares like this would be from the club's fan base - people who want an opportunity to own a little bit of Wolves.

"And, on the back of the play-off victory and on the verge of the first season in the Premiership, fans' interest in buying the shares would be at an all-time high.

"From point of view of Sir Jack and the club they will want to use the share issue to raise much-needed funding so they can maintain Wolves' position in the Premiership.

"Sir Jack will want to make sure the shares do go to fans and not to some financial organisation that might want to take a stake in the club."
