Wolves Fans have astonished Manager Dave Jones with the way they
have taken the Play-Off Final Fever in and around Wolverhampton.
The City of Wolverhampton is currently
a sight which would make any Wolves fan proud. Pubs and Clubs are full
of Wolves flags and scarves whilst houses and cars have banners draped
from windows. Good luck messages have
been arriving from all over the World and some from common household
names. Reef`s Gary Stringer will be
wearing a Wolves shirt whilst on stage on Monday and the likes of
Beverly Knight, Denise Lewis, Suzi Perry, Robert Plant and John Lloyd,
all huge Wolves fans have been at the front of the queue to claim their
tickets for the Play-Off Final against Sheffield United. Wolves
Manager Dave Jones has been amazed by the reaction of Wolves fans.
"It is a big day for everybody
associated with Wolves and the demand for tickets has been absolutely
crazy," Jones told IC Birmingham
"Everyone in the staff has been
limited in how many tickets they can have because of the fans but I
think we could have all sold about 300 each.
"Apparently one national
newspaper ran a competition for tickets and the Wolves pile outweighed
the other five clubs ten times over.
"And there's one chap from
Germany who hasn't got a ticket but is coming over purely to go to
Cardiff and enjoy the weekend - it's unbelievable.
"Hopefully for the fans and
everyone else it's a great weekend but sadly there can only be one
winner. Fingers crossed that will be us."
Meanwhile Denise Lewis believes Wolves
have the fight to win the game.
"I wish Wolves well" said
Lewis.
"I have faith that they will
display their fighting spirit."
