Police Called To Ease Tension

Fans were left angry and and confused after chaos broke out in the queue for Play-Off Final tickets at Molineux yesterday.

Wolves fans, some of who had been in the queue since Monday had to be calmed down as Police were drafted in to overlook a rapidly increasing and nasty atmosphere at Molineux yesterday.

Reports suggested that around 13,000 tickets would be on General sale, but fans were left amazed when a Press-Release from Wolves confirmed a mere 5,500 tickets would be on sale.

The first 2,700 people of a queue containing more than 5,000 fans stretching half a mile were issued with vouchers which confirms them to a maximum of two tickets each which can be collected today.

One man collapsed at Molineux as queue-jumpers tried to push into the front of a queue, this causing unrest resulting in a stampede as fans pushed forward to get to the front of the queue.

To make matters worse, fans complained that possessions that had been left whilst owners joined the stampede had been stolen.

Jez Moxey has confirmed that a review of the way tickets are distributed will be looked into.
