Whilst some would be expecting a comfortable Wolves win, others remained cautious. By now most Wolves fans would be used the usual rollercoaster of a season, and the first game did not disappoint.
1-0 down inside 10 minutes due to some slack Wolves defending. An area where nearly all fans would say we needed to strengthen, and whilst Mick McCarthy has indeed done this with the shrewd signing of Stearman, another centre back is surely a must before the end of the Transfer Window?
Neatherless, Kightly made it 1-1 with a goal described as "against the run of play" but once again due to some poor marking, failure to clear our lines, we fell behind again. Then Mick produced what some would call a gamble, others would call a masterstroke. Fans favourite Sylvan Ebanks-Blake was taken off, to be replaced by another new face, Sam Vokes. It proved to be the latter, and with around 10 minutes to go, Vokes made it 2 a piece.
Even though it ended 2-2, it was not down to a lack of effort. Former Wolves 'keeper Graeme Stack had a blinder, and pulled off numerous saves to keep his team in it, and in the end, won them a point.
Whilst some would see this as 2 points lost, personally I see it as a point gained. Considering as we were behind twice, realistically how many Wolves fans would have expected us to score twice last season, where arguably for large parts of the season our strikers could not hit a barn door from 2 yards.
Now is not the time for fans to be negative, instead look forward to the forthcoming season. Even if you are a Mick fan or not, at least give him the benefit of the doubt and support him like Steve Morgan, Jez Moxey and everyone else at our great club is doing. Get behind the lads on match days, sing your hearts out and show the opposition team and fans that we mean business and this is our season. Make Molineux a fortress, as I am sure that come the end of the season we WILL be the ones who are celebrating.
Onwards and Upwards!

Not a bad post Si, summed it all up pretty well.
Although i ay quite sure how you didn't get lynched by the Mick squad for suggesting a new centre half
