The AT&T Williams team would return to testing this time at the Hockenheimring circuit in the lead-up to the next round of the Formula One championship, the German Grand Prix.

The test will run for three days and it would be Nico Rosberg who would carrying on the testing on the first day. The test would focus on preparation for the German Grand Prix; including set-up work, aero level testing, brake package evaluations & prime & option tyre compound testing. The day would be marred by intermittent and prolonged showers.

At the end of the day Nico would finish with a time of 1m:16.099 to be third in the times. He would complete eighty seven laps. Nico will return for the second day of testing.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: "Today, Nico joined us for day one at Hockenheim during which we concentrated on set-up work in preparation for the race here next weekend. The rain interrupted our progress a few times today, but we still managed to record 87 laps in the dry. Tomorrow, we will finish our programme with Nico before Kazuki arrives for day three on Thursday.”
