Justin Wring's previous clubs were
Bristol who he joined in 1998, and latterly Stade Francais. He
joined the Tykes at the start of their first season in the Zurich
Premiership.
Brought in to add some experience and bite in the front row he
played well in
the famous first victory over Bath, but being of West Country
origins his
enthusiasm got the better of him and he was the first Tykes yellow
card.
His pedigree for a prop is of the highest order having been born
in Bristol,
played for the Irish under 25s, and mixed it en France with Stade
Francais.
However his time with the Tykes has been marred by injuries
meaning that he
has only started a dozen or so games. When he has been injury free
he has
played some good rugby including a sterling performance in the
Tykes famous
away win at Beziers last season.
There are fewer finer sights in a Tykes shirt than Justin Wring at
full snort playing against a South West or Welsh side. A fit
Justin Wring is very
important to the Tykes squad and the supporters look forward to
better luck
with injuries and the chance for him to put in a good run of
games.
