To the outsider, this weeks fixture at Rotherham is a foregone conclusion. Leeds, having won 3 games out of 3 taking on their hosts who have managed 3 defeats from their opening fixtures. Unfortunately, for Leeds fans, it is not so straightforward. In our championship winning season of 2007, the Titans did the league double over us ...
... and while there are hardly any of that side still plying their trade at Clifton Lane, they will go into this derby fixture wanting to claim bragging rights and be the first team to lower the Carnegies colours this term. The pitch will no doubt slow the game down, and the referee needs to take a firm grip early on, as both sets of forwards struggle for supremacy.
Despite the impression that Leeds have tended to switch off during their games, I'm sure this will not be the case on Sunday. The ex Rotherham players will want to prove a point, and with competition for places now hotting up, nobody can afford to lose their concentration.
It is a game for experience over youth, and I am sure that will be reflected in the Leeds squad when it is announced. After last week, I expect to see Hinton, Barrow and MacDonald and McGee recalled, with Dunbar getting the nod to play at 6. I think Fosi and Myall, (if fit), would be ideally suited to coming off the bench after 50 minutes or so as Rotherham tire, and I would be surprised if Henry Paul does not figure in the 22.
As for a prediction, much depends on whether the tide is in or out. With fair weather forecast, I'll take it the tide is out, and while I expect a very torrid first half, I believe Leeds can get the bonus point win, and go for a scoreline of Rotherham 14, Leeds 38. Here's hoping for a good game.

Good review to the Match and have to say I agree the lads that were in Roth colours last time will want a strong showing this weekend but OK the Rotherham team isn't the force it was but it's going to very close out there and it'll proberly boil over (Watch out JD remmember last time!!)
But looking forward to this, they say it's going to be dry this weekend but I think Clifton Lane gets different whether to the rest of Yorkshire so it'll be throwing it down

Others say that he's doing the same to the Carnegie flag,
All we know is that he's called Leeds carnegie signed flag.

That team has long gone the best players have been cherry picked we have 4 of them a couple went to Ulster 1 went to Plymouth and now is in France, 1 went to Exeter by way of the Pirates others have long gone too, including the coach

1 still at Bedford and 1 still at Pirates from the Roth squad of 2 Years ago (Tuohy at Pirates and Burke at Bedford). Take into account as well that it seems that Mike Whitehead, who back then was contesting the fly-half spot with Steenson - and the arguments raged over who was the better of the 2, is now at Full Back and is somewhat out of form , if the reports are true.
He wouldn't be the only one who's not firing on all cylinders at Roth, as it seems to be that they can't get a run of form together since the departure of Bester and the players seem not be at the top of their games.
Can't see past a Leeds Win on Sunday - but these things tend to be closer to call when there's the local rivalries involved
