Halliwell signs

Halifax centre Danny Halliwell has finally completed his transfer to home-town club Leigh Centurions, signing on the dotted line to confirm the terms agreed between player and club. Halliwell has signed a deal that will keep him at Hilton Park for the rest of this current season and also the whole of next season, regardless of which division Leigh will be playing in.

Halliwell was allowed to discuss terms after the two clubs agreed on a suitable compensation package to allow Leigh to take over the services of Halliwell.

Meanwhile, Centurions youngster Anthony Blackwood has been loaned to National League Two outfit Chorley Lynx after the Leigh injury situation improved considerably. Blackwood was on loan at Chorley last month but was recalled because of the Centurions injury crisis.
