So if we beat Olympiacos It's the winner of Seville/Roma. If we play like we have in the last two matches we'll be out but hoping for the best. For me matches like these are what being in Europe is all about.
Should we get through it will probably be Man. Utd in the semi-final. Playing another English team a bit of an anti climax.

A good result for us at Villa last night - Arsenal could have caught us up into 6th place with two wins but can now only make 8th. The lowest we can finish is 7th, and if Chelsea win the FA Cup that would guarantee Europa League again for 7th place.

I'm also pleased for Villa and hope they stay up to maintain our local derby at the expense of Watford, who in my opinion have shown no class at all in their sacking of three managers this season.

It all seems to depend on Chelsea then? They have just gone 0-1 down at Anfield and of course they need to beat us anyway on Sunday to ensure top 4. As it stand they’re 4th with Manchester United 3rd .... though plenty of time to go at Liverpool.

I too am pleased the Villa won and with any luck they will survive and send that hapless lot at Vicarage Road tumbling down - I would have thought most neutrals most disliked side , currently. Added to that, Albion, after a pretty dodgy start are now leading QPR, so as well as the Villa, a top flight Black Country derby seems very likely. Tasty. We’ll know in 35 minutes.

Baggies made bloody tough work of that. Neither Brentford nor Albion managed a win between them in their last two matches. I’ll be honest, I am glad they’re up, my Grandad and the rest of Mom’s family would be very happy tonight.
Chelsea now losing 4-1.

Villa are a proper premier league club and prefer seeing them in the premier league to@#$%&like Watford who are barely championship size

Well gentlemen, over a year has elapsed since the thread was started and we are still in the competition. I'd imagine Wolves set a record for playing the longest season in English football history if you incorporate the early Europa league matches.

A shame we have had no contribution from OldnGold who confessed on a removed post that he is infact not a wolves fan at all but a bitter old baggie with a season ticket at the hawthorns (Sm9)

Before the lockdown I would have felt fairly positive about the tie with Sevilla but since the restart we haven't got back to the same levels of performance. Therefore I like to think we can step up on how we have been playing lately, that because we played better before lockdown there is room to improve.
We all know we can beat the 'top' sides, we've done it often enough for it not to be a fluke.
Right now my heart says we will win, my head says we won't. Come Tuesday I won't be listening to my head.

At this moment we are 5/2 with Bet365, Seville 23/20 and 23/10 the draw.

To be honest I think Seville are hotter favourites to beat us on present form, I reckon they are odds on, we on the other hand are probably in the 3 to 4/1 bracket.

Overall the form we have displayed so far since lockdown hasn’t often shown consistent attacking power, exceptions include Everton and Palace, but at least we have (on the whole) shown defensive resistance. On the latter, I thought we looked better defensively versus Olympiakos when we were organised and kept our line. When we held a higher line, Olympiakos really looked as if they could calve us open and get in behind .... which of course they did! With this in mind, I wonder whether accepting Seville Will have the lion share of possession will be an advantage to us - invite them on and counter attack , a strategy we know we can do well. However we get the ball forward and when, then we’ll need Jota and Traore to have their shooting boots on, especially the former. Another one on one last week that Jota failed to convert. To be honest, he never looked likely. I have always rate Jota but can’t overlook the poor form he has been displaying, except we know what he can do e.g. Everton.

Don’t forget to get your predictions in by the way, Chesh has updated the page 👍
